Have

I wanted to help others to enjoy the fruits of their labor, to enjoy MONEY, rather than seeing it as EVIL. Having MONEY can be fulfilling once you understand your relationship with it.
I, too, felt like that one time in my life but not any more. That is the reason I wrote "Why Money Isn’t Your Problem: Making the Right Connection." I wanted to help others to enjoy the fruits of their labor, to enjoy MONEY, rather than seeing it as EVIL. Having MONEY can be fulfilling once you understand your relationship with it.
Take A Lesson Or Two
From The Widow and Her Son
A
poor widow with a son name Jack found herself slowly losing everything.
The crops that had been planted Jack was so lazy that he let them die.
There came a point when there was no more food, so the mother gave Jack the only thing they had left, the family Cow, and told Jack to take it to the marketplace and sell it.
Along the way Jack met a peddler who convinced Jack to give him the cow for a few speckled beans. Jack took the beans and ran home, excited about his trade.
By the time he arrived home and shared the good news, it angered his mother. She was disappointed.
“We cannot live on a handful of beans,” she cried out in frustration. And tossed the beans out the window.
The next day those beans green into gigantic stalks. Jack who had been lazy and unwilling to work to eat suddenly got a new vision. He set out to discover what was at the end of the stalk.
There came a point when there was no more food, so the mother gave Jack the only thing they had left, the family Cow, and told Jack to take it to the marketplace and sell it.

the way he encountered danger but he found a courage he
didn’t know he
had inside to conquer. He refused to take “no” for an answer. He
persevered UNTIL. . .

What’s That In Your Hand?
Jack’s
mother made a mistake which put her in this situation financially. She
trusted her financial future to an irresponsible child (someone else)
to handle. A child who wouldn’t tend to the crops to provide food for
himself to eat, let alone care about her.
The mother had some choices: she could have used what she had to create more. Perhaps she could have sold the cow’s milk and/or made butter to sell. With the money she earned from that she could have purchased a chick or two, and sold the eggs produced. The Cow was food. She could have killed the cow, preserved some meat, sold some, maybe even bought a baby calf, a few chickens, in some way bought other income producers.
But she wasn’t thinking. Blinded by her lack of food to make destructive decisions. Overwhelmed failing to see what she had.
This is why I wrote "Why Money Isn’t Your Problem! Making The Right Connection." Too many people are like Jack’s mother. They have the answers in their hands but they overlook them.
