Book Content Marketing Using Articles

Where Do You Go to
Promote Your Published Book?

by Blondie L. Clayton

The Internet is the place to go to promote your book? Why? Because there are millions, maybe billions of visitors to the internet looking for something. And you just might have the solution to their problem.

Have you gone into a book store and flipped through the pages of a book before you purchased? So why not share excerpts of your book on sites like www.authorsden.com, or visit forums where there are discussions on your subject, and stick your two cents in.

Have you tried Twitter.com? It is another great place to expose your book. Don’t just say, “I’ve got a new book at. . .” Instead, give them something valuable. Post an excerpt from your book on a blog, with a link from twitter to that page.

Here is another place you can post:www.shelfari.com, a reading community where you can connect with readers that have similar interests. Within the community you can join groups or create your own groups. I’ve already joined several groups: Christian Women of Character; Writing Readers; Shameless Promotion; Authors Prom; What Shall We Read.

I invite you to join groups I am a part of, or look for groups of interest to you. It’s free. It’s a place to discuss books you are reading, writing, or planning to read in the future. However, you can create your own groups and invite your friends, other authors, etc.

You can also set up a radio show at www.blogtalkradio.com. Use the content from your book to create talk topics for the show. These are some of my favorite places to hang out. Keep your eyes open for others.

What if I told you that 30-60 days from now, you could easily be making $1,000 to $2,000/week working from home as a freelance writer? You probably wouldn't believe me, and I wouldn't blame you. But, it's true and I can prove it to you -- not by my own word, but by others who are doing it too.
